COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION
"Tamara Floyd, Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center: Currently serving as the Senior Program ordinator for the Roosevelt Early Childhood Resource Center, Tamara works with low-income families coordinating resources. She is also an active member of the Travis L. Williams Community Council. When the annual South Phoenix Christmas party was in danger of being canceled after 34 years, Tamara stepped up to the task. She called on her resources in the community and delivered over 300 children. Not only did she secure toys, she arranged volunteers to wrap them. Her can-do attitude makes the community a better place. Recognized by the City of Phoenix Human Services Department” (South Mountain Villager, August 2018, p. 14).
