About Tamara...
Tamara Floyd, born in Pomona California, moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1993, where she presently resides in the city of Goodyear for the past 20+ years. As the Outreach Director for the University of Arizona, Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center, she assists families with community resources, referrals and develops partnerships with community-based organizations and coalitions.
Tamara represents diverse populations and is passionate about women’s rights, economic development, equal opportunity, and justice for all as she has a strong community advocacy background and continues to serve her community.

MY MISSION
Tamara Floyd, resident of Arizona since 1992 and Goodyear since 1999, works intuitively with her community and is deeply rooted in a shared connection of partnerships. Ms. Floyd is dedicated to the growth of Goodyear, quality first child care, education, supporting small businesses, human services/resources and transportation.

2020 Outstanding Staff Award in Cooperative Extension
Tamara Floyd, who works with the University of Arizona's Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center, was named the Outstanding Staff in Cooperative Extension at the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Spring Awards Celebration. Congratulations, Tamara, and thank you for ALL that you do for the Family Resource Center (FRC) and for our office! (UA Spring Award Celebration, April 2021).

This Outstanding Staff Award represents the heart and soul of University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center. (U of A Cooperative Extension, October, 2021).
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION
"Tamara Floyd, Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center: Currently serving as the Senior Program ordinator for the Roosevelt Early Childhood Resource Center, Tamara works with low-income families coordinating resources. She is also an active member of the Travis L. Williams Community Council. When the annual South Phoenix Christmas party was in danger of being canceled after 34 years, Tamara stepped up to the task. She called on her resources in the community and delivered over 300 children. Not only did she secure toys, she arranged volunteers to wrap them. Her can-do attitude makes the community a better place. Recognized by the City of Phoenix Human Services Department” (South Mountain Villager, August 2018, p. 14).
